You can submit your document for an approval directly from Google Docs and Sheets by utilizing the Collavate extension.
After installation, you can send approval requests for free through the extension.

Install Collavate extension
Go to Google Workspace Marketplace.
Search for Collavate.
Install the app.
Admin install: Google Workspace super administrator can install apps for all users in the organization.
Individual install: Normal users can install apps individually.
Click agree to the permissions.
Note: Collavate is a trusted service, verified through Google’s rigorous annual review process.
Click Next.
Finish installing the Collavate extension.
Start using Collavate in Google Docs or Sheets
Once the installation is done, you can close the confirmation pop-up and click Done.
Create a new Google document or Google Spreadsheet.
Go to Extentions tab, then click Collavate → Start.
If you are new user, please complete your account setup by entering the required information.
Enter the reviewers of your choice, then scroll to the bottom and click the Submit button to submit the approval request.
After installation, you can find the add-on under the Extensions tab in Google Docs and Google Sheets.
